HEART THROBS & BRIDES ROMANCES "I Hated Men!"

Sometimes, the disdain by a female for males is warranted...

...but can still be overcome when she meets a better quality he!
This story from Quality's Heart Throbs #9 (1952) had a couple of modifications when it was reprinted in Quality's Brides Romances #12 (1955) after the implementation of the Comics Code...
...but only on the first two pages!
The Code apparently had no problem with the near-sexual assault on Pages 6-7...which remained unaltered in the reprint!
"Boys will be boys!", I suppose...
Penciled by Reed Crandall, but the scripter and inker are unknown.

ROMANTIC HEARTS "I hated MEN" (That's the way the title reads...)

Continuing January's theme "I Hated Men!"...

...here's another, quite different (and never-reprinted), story from Master Comics' Romantic Hearts V2N6 (1954) with the same title!
Penciled by Bill Savage, inks by Dick Beck and scripted by an unknown writer, this tale, unlike our previous one, features a woman deliberately her sexuality as a weapon against the gender she believes wronged her!
It's not the last time we'll see such a tale!

LOVE PROBLEMS AND ADVICE ILLUSTRATED "I Hated Men!"

For the rest of January, we're presenting several different tales with this title...

...because it's one of the most frequently-used headers for romance comic stories!
Illustrated (and possibly written) by Bob Powell, this (surprisingly) never-reprinted tale from McCombs' Love Problems and Advice Illustrated #1 (1949) is a classic example of male/female attitudes of the era!
Note: This year we're going to do a different theme each month.
Wait'll you see what we have planned...
