Love in the Time of Covid-19 CAREER GIRL ROMANCES "A Kiss is Merely a Biological Phenomenon"

This tale has only a peripheral connection to disease...
...but I felt an intense need to lighten the mood this week.
And the title is a real grabber!
Think of this as the lighthearted version of the rather serious story we recently presented HERE and HERE!
This never-reprinted tale from Charlton's Career Girl Romances #49 (1969) is a real mashup of artistic styles.
Dick Giordano seems to be the primary artist, with sections repenciled/reinked by Jim Aparo, Monte Baches, and Charles Nicholas!

CAREER GIRL ROMANCES "Sorrow Song"

What happens when, like most people...
...you can't make singing your career?
And worse, the bandmate you love is a cheating dog...
What does Johnny do for a living now, since he's not performing?
Why was he "away" (a euphemism for being incarcerated)?
Will he and Lauri remain in Michigan or go back to...well. whatever city they were performing in?
This never-reprinted Joe Gill-scripted/Jim Aparo illustrated tale under a Dick Giordano cover from Charlton's Career Girl Romances #40 (1967) never clears up those aspects...
Next week:
We haven't decided yet what it'll be, but we can guarantee that...

CAREER GIRL ROMANCES "No Prospects"

Here's a short from 1971 that reads more like a tale from the 1950s...
Appearing the the back of Charlton's Career Girl Romances #63 (1971), this uncredited story plays out as if Women's Lib wasn't one of the hot points of the era!
