Aerial Ardor BONNIE TAYLOR: AIRLINE STEWARDESS "Flight 101--to Heartbreak!" Conclusion

We Have Already Seen...

...when Bonnie Taylor: Airline Stewardess, filling in for a sick friend, encounters a former beau (with his current fiancee)...who slips her a note asking for a secret rendezvous...she's thrown into emotional turmoil!

This story from DC's Young Romance #126 (1963), written by Robert Kanigher and illustrated by John Romita Sr,  seems innoccuous enough,
But, within a couple of issues, Bonnie's throwing herself at literally every guy (and even a ghost or two) she runs into, ready to marry some of them before the second part of her two-part tales!
(I'm sure it it wasn't for the extremely-strict Comics Code Authority, we'd see some of the between-the-sheets action even all-ages comics of today occasionally indulge in!)

Next Week ...We're Not Sure Exactly What We're Going to Present!

Aerial Ardor BONNIE TAYLOR: AIRLINE STEWARDESS "Flight 101--to Heartbreak!" Part 1

We've Already Presented a Pair of Tales...

...HERE and HERE starring our horny air hostess, but this was her introduction!

It Actually Continues on Friday!
(We would have said "tomorrow", but the flight was delayed!)

This introductory tale, written by Robert Kanigher and illustrated by John Romita Sr, from DC's Young Romance #126 (1963) introduces Bonnie Taylor, who, despite her declarations of eternal love for whoever her current paramour is, eagerly jumps into the arms of someone at the very next layover and professes perpetual love...and sometimes marriage...for him!
She kept up this manic pace until #139, when she apparently settled down!

Super-Love SUPERMAN'S GIRL FRIEND LOIS LANE "Super-Bride's Secret!"

...she had lost a catfight to Diana Prince, the then-powerless Wonder Woman...who has, apparently, regained her powers...and then some!
And Superman's plans to wed Wonder Woman are going "full speed ahead"!
Well, at least it wasn't a tacky fake romance, like Batman pulled with the aid of Batgirl and Wonder Woman as we showed HERE, HERE, and HERE!
Several points...
a) Why didn't Superman realize the woman he was kissing (several times) was wearing a mask?
He does have super-senses, right?
b) How was Ar-Ual going to put Wonder Woman into the Phantom Zone?
The criminal escaped from the Zone through a rift (which had re-sealed) and the only Phantom Zone projector on Earth is in Superman's Fortress of Solitude!
The Superman robots and possibly even the tiny Kandorians in their bottle city might notice an intruder!
and, c) I don't believe we've ever seen a version of Red Kryptonite that temporarily removes a Kryptonian's super-powers!
September Will be a Open Topic Month!
Anything Might Happen!
But, We'll Guarantee that...

Swinging '70s Stories YOUNG ROMANCE "The Swinger in 'Rise, Love, Rise!"

Yesterday, We Met...

..an advocate of the "free love" movement, who an engaged woman thought was trying to steal her fiancee!
(She wasn't!)
At the end of that story, Lily was seen riding off in someone's car...

Sadly, there was no "next chapter"!
After this two-story premiere in DC's Young Romance #170 (1971), Lily Martin never graced the pages of another comic book...not even in reprint!
Since editor Dick Giordano left the book after this issue, replaced by Dorothy Woolfolk, I suspect she was responsible for not continuing a series that didn't fit her editorial vision.
Usually, DC's editors would find a way to reuse already-purchased material, but a cursory examination of Woolfolk's run doesn't show any stories that could've been reworked versions of already-written/illustrated tales!

We Revisit One of Our Previous Topics with All-New Material!

Swinging '70s Stories YOUNG ROMANCE "Michelle: Love is a Swinger!"

This Month's Final Example of 1970s Romance Comics...

...is actually both a finale to a multi-part series we ran last year and the premiere of a new series!

As you might have guessed, this never-reprinted story from DC's Young Romance #170 (1971) just introduced DC's new example of "free love", Lily Martin...

...whose first solo adventure followed (after a couple of reprinted stories) in this very same oversized (64-page) issue!
And, that (also never-reprinted) tale will follow...tomorrow!
