Super-Love "The Marriage of ?????? and BatWoman"

Bet when you saw that title, we were going to conclude our July Super-Love features with...
...but, it's not that BatWoman, (Kate Kane), we're going to look at, but the pre-Crisis on Infinite Earths version, Kathy Kane...

...and for the record, Kate and GCPD Captain Maggie Sawyer didn't marry!
(Note: we do have a post about the current Batwoman in the works for the near future!)
But let's get on with today's story from DC's Batman #122 (1959)...
Written by Batman co-creator Bill Finger, penciled by Sheldon Moldoff, and inked by Ray Burnley, this "it was all a dream" tale from DC's Batman #122 (1959) has been reprinted numerous times, and even adapted into an audio adventure...

Super-Love SECRET WARS: SECRET LOVE "Ms Marvel II & Ghost Rider IV in 'Fan of a Fan' "

You want romantic angst that rocks you to your core?
You want to see a super-hero/heroine experiencing it?
How about a teen-age super-heroine, as this somewhat-deceptive cover by David Nakayama suggests?
OK, so it reads like an Archie comics story with a triangle of Kamala (who's oblivious to the crush by)...Bruno (who fears Kamila will fall for)...Robbie!
(Told you the cover was deceptive!)
Written and illustrated by Felipe Smith, this too-cute-for-words tale was from Marvel's Secret Wars: Secret Love one-shot, one of the few good parts of the whole terrible Secret Wars "Big Event" of 2015.
BTW, Kamala is the second Ms Marvel (after Carol Danvers), and Robbie Reyes is the fourth Ghost Rider (fifth if you count the non-demonic Western 1960s character).

Super-Love with SUPERGIRL (and WONDER WOMAN) "Revolt of the Super-Chicks" Part 3

...actually, we'll see this scene by Supergirl series artist Jim Mooney in. couple of pages!
In the meantime, all you need to know is that Supergirl has renounced being a crimefighter to become a Paris fashion model.
Wonder Woman, at Superman's request, follows Kara to talk her out of it, but becomes enraptured by a romantic Frenchman in the City of Love!
Meanwhile, metamorphing villain Multi-Face plots to steal an experimental rocket from a base nearby the "Isle of Love" where both the heroines are vacationing...
Considering they were both ready to throw away their careers (and in Wonder Woman's case, her long-time love Steve Trevor),  the ending seems a bit...contrived!
The two heroines would meet again in the final issue of Wonder Woman before she renounced her powers for totally-different reasons...
Err...never mind!
BTW, you can read this tale HERE!

Super-Love with SUPERGIRL (and WONDER WOMAN) "Revolt of the Super-Chicks" Part 1

We wind up our Supergirl Blogathon with the first team-up of...aw, you guessed!
...in their first team-up!
Let's look in on the 1960s' most-notorious lovebirds, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, or as the story refers to them, "...two familiar faces..."!
Yep, you can tell this is the 1960s!
This never-reprinted Silver Age tale from DC's Brave and the Bold #63 (1965-66) features...
A cameo by Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton!
References to James Bond!
Superman doing an amazing "Adam West as Batman" imitation when discussing romance!
(BTW, this story was published before the Batman TV show debuted!)
And easily-swayed, apparently-nymphomaniac, superheroines!
What were writer Bob Haney and artist John Rosenberger (both of whom had romance comics experience) thinking???

Super-Love with SUPERGIRL "StarFire's Revenge" Part 1

...villainess StarFire's plan to use a romantic lure to use a super-power-eliminating drug on Supergirl works...sort of!
The drug causes Kara's powers to temporarily shut-down at random moments.
Luckily, Kandorian science, though unable to reverse the effects, provides her with tech to give her replacement super-strength and flight (though not invulnerability)!
Meanwhile, the villainess has killed her romantic catspaw, Derek, to prevent him from revealing to the world...
What happens if Kara's powers cut out now?
