Amorous Education JETTA OF THE 21st CENTURY "Jet Jaunt"

It's almost springtime...and more importantly, it's almost PROM time!
But, in teen humor comic books (even comics set in the future), things never go smoothly!
OK, maybe it's just as well that we of the real 21st Century still don't have flying cars...
As you might have guessed, Archie artist Dan DeCarlo was the illustrator for this tale from Standard Comics' Jetta of the 21st Century #5 (1952), which was actually her first issue!
(Issues 1-4 were a romance comic called Today's Romance!)
Next week:
We haven't decided yet what it'll be, but we can guarantee that...

Amorous Education CAMPUS LOVES "I Stole My Roomate's Man"

Now that's a catchy title!
Does the story live up to the hype?
Judge for yourself...
When this story was reprinted in a British comic, this page was omitted.
There are no credits available for this never-reprinted (in America) tale from Quality's Campus Loves #1 (1949), so it's likely a studio of creatives working on it.

JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY "Man Who Changed!"

Here's a decidedly-different (and very sweet) take on Valentine's Day...

...with an ending you won't see coming!
Illustrated by Penciler Jay Scott Pike and inker Christopher Rule, this story from Atlas' Journey into Mystery #27 (1955) isn't a typical romance.
But sometimes we need to be reminded that "love" takes many forms from passionately-romantic to simply caring about someone else...and that everybody deserves to be loved!
Since we're posting today, there won't be a post on Wednesday, February 16th, but we will be back on February 23rd!
💕Happy Valentine's Day!💘

Amorous Education HI-SCHOOL ROMANCE "Three's a Crowd in Love"

Oddly, though this story is subtitled "A True Hi-School Romance"...
...it concerns college students who are friends and/or lovers!
Though the writer and artist(s) are unknown, this story from Harvey's Hi-School Romance #3 (1950) is one of their most popular tales ever!
It was reprinted three times in various romance titles from 1955 to 1958, but hasn't been seen since...until now!
Note that, because Valentine's Day is Monday, we'll be posting then instead of next Wednesday!
Next Week:
We don't know what we'll present..yet,

Amorous Education TENDER LOVE STORIES "Campus Crusader in Love!"

Good Deeds or Good Loving...
That's the choice Christine has to make when her love of social justice and her love for her long-time friend come into conflict...
Unfortunately, none of the creatives were credited, so the writers and artists are regrettably, unknown.
However, the cover art is clearly inked (and probably penciled) by John Severin.
This cover-featured tale from Skywald's short-lived Tender Love Stories #3 (1971) was the only new story in the 52-page book!
The rest were reprints modified to update the clothing and hairstyles to then-current trends.
It was a common practice on romance titles from the mid-1960s until the genre died out in the mid-1970s.
Unfortunately, the Dreaded Deadline Doom caught up with us, so we decided to do a "re-presentation" rather than miss a week.
Next Week...
