Love is a Prison ALL TRUE ROMANCE "Love Blind"

There's a cliche about how "girls love bad boys"...
...and Sally Jones is about to discover how "bad" a boy Ace Miller is...and how he'll prove Love is a Prison!
The scripter for this never-reprinted story from Comic Media's All True Romance #9 (1953) is unknown, and the art is by the staff of the Iger Studio, who provided editorial and art services to small publishers who didn't have their own creatives.
So, we don't know who to credit (or blame) for this particular tale.
Note: as of the next issue, the publisher began producing their own material using a mix of established and new/upcoming writers and artists who created a unique look and tone for their entire line (not just the romance books) until the company's demise two years later due to the industry-shaking "Seduction of the Innocent" mania of the mid-1950s.

DEAR LONELY HEART "So This is Love!"

This is not the typical way a 1950s romance comic story begins...
...but this tale from Comic Media's Dear Lonely Heart #1 (1951) does have some predictable, even cliche, twists!
One date and he proposes?
And she accepts?
If she has a concussion, the writer doesn't mention it...
Speaking of which, we don't know the identities of either the writer or artist (except that they worked for the Iger Studio, which "packaged" stories and even ongoing strips for publishers), which may be just as well since I suspect some of our readers would probably want to do them serious harm for their backward (even for 1951) portrayal of male/female relationships!
BTW, this was from the first issue of Dear Lonely Heart.
It was canceled after eight issues, but the publisher must've liked the title, because it launched Dear Lonely Hearts (note the "s") less than a year later.
It also lasted only eight issues.

Asian Amour ALL TRUE ROMANCE "Korean War Bride"

I've been going through the archives looking for romance comic stories featuring Asians...
...and besides some relationships in super-hero and martial arts series, all I found, so far, are tales about "war brides"!
With the current explosion of overt anti-Asian racism, we're running a RetroBog-wide presentation of stories showing how Asians and Asian-Americans been portrayed in comic books.
This never-reprinted story from Comic Media's All True Romance #11 (1953) is the first example.
Distrust and suspicion of "war brides"...whether Asian or European...was common, with many believing the women were "seductresses" taking advantage of "innocent" Americans via sex!
There are other types of tales out there...it's just going to take time to find them...

ALL-TRUE ROMANCE "Man-Hater"

A story that typifies many mens' opinion of women in general...
...using sex (or at least kissing and petting) to manipulate the guys for financial gain.
This decidedly-misogynistic tale appeared in Comic Media's All True Romance #9 (1953).
Writer and artist(s) are unknown.
